First Sewing Machine

I am new to sewing and self-teaching myself. So far, I have sewed 6 different projects using several of the feet that came with the machine. I am loving it! The manual has been a valuable resource although I would have appreciated an instructional DVD. Even so, the internet has been a great resource when I have questions. My step-mother, who has been sewing for decades, was really impressed with my machine and all the attachments that came with it. Also, I got it on sale for 50% off. Can't beat that!

I was chosen to host a house party that featured the Singer Confidence Stylist 7467s. It is a great sewing machine, both for a beginner and a more experienced sewist! I found it to be a great value and really love all of the extra feet the machine comes with! I also loved that i didn't have to deal with pulling up the bobbin thread or threading the needle!

I have had a few other machines. This is far the easiest to use. It has great features. I also enjoyed the free class I received with the purchase of my machine. The instructor was well educated on the machine I bought and friendly and most helpful when I asked questions.

This machine is great, I am an avid sewing fanatic. But even the most inexperienced person could fine comfort and ease in using this machine. So much fun to use.

I, too, was picked to host a Singer House Party with the Confidence Stylist 7467S. I actually bought the 7467 Confidence last year and am in love with it; this machine is the same price and comes with 4 feet that I now will be adding to my machine to enable free-motion. This machine is perfect for a beginner because there is room to "grow" with techniques and has enough features that even my mother (who has been sewing for 50 years) is interested in purchasing it now (and she currently owns some nice machines). Its size is perfect, lightweight enough to be portable, and runs very quietly (this is nice for our apartment home). The reverse stitch feature is spot-on and the variety of decorative stitches is quite sufficient.
If I had to do it over again, I'd stick with this machine, just making sure I bought the "S" (stylist) model to get the extra feet.

So far we really like our machine. It is easy to operate and we think a pretty good value for our dollar. The features are adequate for our applications and seems to be of very high quality as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The only negative is that we purchased our machine in Germany. The instruction manual is written in German so it is pretty useless to us. We have contacted Singer online and requested one in English, but that has been a few days ago now without even having received an acknowldgement of our request. Also tried to call, but could never get anyone to talk with on the phone.

I was picked to have a Singer House Party with the Singer 7467S Confidence Stylist. I invited over a few talented sewers and some just beginning. There was an overall satisfaction from everyone. The machine handled layers of upholstery material with ease. Then we tried some satin...and to our surprise the results were great! Every one loved the feet that came with the machine along with all the built in stitches. This is a great machine for anyone who sews, beginner or advanced! A plus that everyone loved was the stitch setting lights. It saved so much time setting up the stitches.

I have had nothing but problems since I got this machine, first the NEW machine had traces of thread that had to be cleaned out. Then the pattern I have been trying to put on my friend's purse that I am making, has ruined the purse. I am ripping out stitch after stitch. I have tried different tension settings on this machine that is supposed to be automatic. Now the bobbin thread can't be drawn up to sew. Headache after headache with this machine.

When you are not quite a beginner sewer and you want a machine that gives you a little more control, this is a great machine. I went through the training on the Confidence Stylist at our local Singer sales location and the staff were very knowledgeable.
I have sewn several projects over the last couple of weeks on this machine and it was really easy to use. The drop-in bobbin and automatic needle threader are 'have to haves' for any machine and these were included. The included decorative stitches were also fairly extensive. I was glad to see a variety of feet for the machine were standard. Bonus was that it had the same shank as my old Brother machine, so my investment in specialty feet would not be lost.

I was picked to host a singer sew easy house party and loved using the machine. The orientation to the machine at the Joann store was very helpful and made taking the machine stress free. I think that the best feature on this machine is the auto tension one. I was able to sew and sew without worrying about turning dials and figuring out what would be the best tension for the project I was completing. The other great feature is the commonly used stitches just a push button away, right on the front of the machine. I plan on buying the stylist quilting machine. At my party even my grandson was able to use the machine with great ease.

Had a Sears Kenmore for 26 years. It had the basic 10 stitches. Worked fine, but finally gave out a few weeks ago. Purchased this Singer machine and at first I was missing my old machine, but after about a day....love this machine! Very easy to use and the price was affordable. Was on sale, which made it even a more attractive purchase. I would definitely recommend this machine. The manual is very easy to follow and understand and since my old machine had the bobbin underneath, I really like this one with the top bobbin feature. I have been sewing clothing outfits for our civil war re-enacting and have been doing quite a bit of sewing recently. I sewn taffeta and lots cottons and this machine sews each material with no problem.
